Pegasus Explorer Scout Unit is a joint Unit between the 35th (Crookfur) and the 145th Glasgow (Giffnock) with weekly meetings taking place at the 145th. We also welcome young people joining from other Groups or with no Scouting background.
The Explorer Scout programme is very varied and develops values and skills as well as being great fun. The Unit had a special Investiture Ceremony in 2013 when all the Explorers were invested at famous and well known locations around Glasgow, being transported by an old double decker bus and, in January 2014, we carried out underwater investitures, for the second time, whilst SCUBA diving.
By far the most ambitious thing the Unit has attempted since being formed was the two successful Explorer Belt Expeditions to Canada in 2010 and 2013. A major challenge indeed! More information on the most recent Explorer Belt to Canada in July 2013 can be found in the main menu.
